Refrain thy Voice from Weeping

Jeremiah 31:15-17a (KJV)
15Thus saith the Lord; A voice was heard in Ramah, lamentation, and bitter weeping; Rahel weeping for her children refused to be comforted for her children, because they were not.
16Thus saith the Lord; Refrain thy voice from weeping, and thine eyes from tears: for thy work shall be rewarded, saith the Lord; and they shall come again from the land of the enemy.
17And there is hope in thine end, saith the Lord,...

It's been sooo long since I posted here.  Actually since Christmas. I didn't intend it to be so but some how the days rolled into weeks and I just didn't get to it. It's been a roller coaster ride of activities for me and i wont bore you with the nitty gritty happenings of my life. All i can say is so much has happened
and I am so thankful to God for keeping me. So i am am happy to be back and i am so sorry if you checked in for a new post and didn't find any. I guess it is not to late to wish you a very Happy and blessed  New Year! May this year bring you joy, peace, love and God's grace. I know you will make progress in the journey of grief because God will walk with you.

Weeping is something we are all to familiar with verse 15 of our text talks of lamentation and bitter weeping. This happens when our loved ones are ripped away from us by death, none of us plan to bury our spouses, children or loved ones or live without them. Much as death is one certainty of life we are never prepared for it and understandably it brings bitter tears.  Tears that express the pain and sorrow in our hearts, tears of fear for what the future holds, tears of regret for what we failed to do or dreams that we never fulfilled.

Don't get me wrong It's okay  to weep and it's okay to lament but it is not okay to refuse to be comforted.  As you experience the pain of loss God is offering you hope he wants you to look beyond where you are today to your future. As hopeless and unattractive it may seem God says there is hope in your future. Your morning of joy will come.

As you progress in this year be reminded that there is hope in your future. God doesn't want you to be sad and miserable all your life. You don't have to weep through life. You can be joyful. God has so much blessings stored up for you but you've got to believe and receive his offer. Don't let weeping define you instead let hope fill your heart because your tomorrow will be okay.
